Your journal is stored on your device by default. If you enable iCloud sync, journal records are stored in your private iCloud database. Dayturn does not operate a developer journal-content server.

Journal content
Content you create may include text, photos, drawings, stickers, mood, weather, activity, sleep, and other details you add to a page. This content is used to provide the journal features you request.
Your content stays on your device unless you enable iCloud sync or deliberately export or share it.
iCloud sync
When enabled, Dayturn uses Apple CloudKit to sync your journal between devices signed in to your Apple Account. Records are stored in your private iCloud database and are subject to Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices.
You can disable sync in Dayturn settings. Copies already stored by Apple may remain according to your iCloud settings and Apple's retention processes.
Photos, health, weather, and device features
Dayturn requests access only when a related feature needs it. Photo access lets you add images. Health access is read-only and may include steps, walking or running distance, exercise time, active energy, and sleep. Weather and location-related services may be used to add local weather. Face ID or Touch ID may protect app access when you enable the lock.
Photo subject extraction and supported writing features are processed on device. Dayturn does not upload your journal to a remote AI service.
Anonymous product analytics
Dayturn uses Mixpanel to understand basic feature usage and purchase flow. Anonymous analytics is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Permissions → Anonymous Analytics; opting out stops future analytics collection.
Analytics may include a random anonymous app identifier, event and session names, limited enum or boolean properties such as content type, selected plan, or success status, app and operating-system version, and event time. Dayturn disables automatic event collection and IP-based geolocation. It does not send journal text, prompts, captions, photos, files, health, weather, precise or approximate location, raw record identifiers, or raw error messages to Mixpanel.
Mixpanel processes this limited analytics data for Dayturn as a service provider. Previously sent anonymous events are retained only as needed to analyze and improve the product and meet contractual or legal obligations. Contact hello@dayturn.app for an access or deletion request. Because Dayturn has no account system and the events are anonymous, we may be unable to identify events associated with you; we will explain the available app and device controls.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes purchases. Dayturn uses RevenueCat to check purchase status and unlock paid features. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, product identifiers, transaction and entitlement status, and technical information needed to provide and diagnose subscriptions. Dayturn does not provide RevenueCat with your journal content.
Website access
This website is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request metadata, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. We do not add analytics, advertising pixels, account sign-in, or non-essential cookies to this website.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
You can edit or delete journal entries in the app. Deleting the app removes local data unless a copy remains in iCloud or a backup. You can manage iCloud storage and subscriptions through Apple settings.
To ask a privacy question or request help locating or deleting data, contact us. Because Dayturn has no developer account system, we may not be able to identify device-only data; we will explain the relevant device or Apple controls instead.
Children, changes, and contact
Dayturn is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital-consent age in their region. We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change and will revise the date shown above.
